How the LDR outputs : If you place your finger over the LDR, the resistance will increase. If you shine a bright light on the LDR, the resistance will decrease.
The LDR was connected to the breadboard together with the capacitor :(The LDR and the capacitor have no polarity which means that a negative and positive current can be connected to either lead.)
- The LDR was placed into the breadboard and the capacitor was connected next LDR using the same connection

- Ground was connected to the pin of the capacitor
- GPIO7 was connected to row 3
- GPIO27 was connected to the other pin of the LDR
